A 12 court pickleball stadium has been completed at Sundial Beach Resort & Spa, adding to the lineup of resort amenities and public offerings. The Plexicushion system courts provide tournament-grade facilities in a pristine, waterfront setting accessible to both resort guests and the public.

Guests of the resort enjoy complimentary court access and equipment loans as part of Sundial's activity package. Lessons, clinics and open play are available under the direction of IPTPA certified resident pro Ernesto Enriquez-Socas.

For a limited time, introductory annual memberships are being offered to the public for a fee of $150. Public court time (based on two hours of play) is priced at $10 and includes equipment rentals. For groups looking to hone their skills while enjoying an island retreat, the resort offers custom pickleball vacations.

A combination of tennis, badminton and table tennis, pickleball now claims the title of "fastest growing sport in North America." Suitable for all ages and skill levels, the sport is a game of shot placement rather than strength and may be played at a leisurely pace or highly competitive tournament level.

"We're pleased to introduce a quality, state-of-the-art pickleball facility to Southwest Florida," said Phillip Starling, Sundial's general manager. "Not only is Sundial the first area resort to offer onsite, stand-alone courts to guests, we are also a resource for local and tournament play, with one of the largest USAPA registered facilities in the state."

To kick-off Sundial's inaugural season, Pickleball Magazine will be hosting a series of camps headed by USAPA Nationals and US Open Medalist, Rob Davidson. The three day camps include 15 hours of instruction, unlimited court use, video analysis and a three night resort stay. Camp dates are May 3-5, 6-8, 10-12 and 13-15.
