Paradise lost

May 25, 2017
Island Reporter, Captiva Current, Sanibel-Captiva Islander

To the editor:

I've lived on Sanibel almost 20 years, but times are a changing.

We allowed Big Sugar and our crooked politicians to poison and pollute our waters so our politicians can turn around and give sugar government subsidies to grow a crop that poisons our bodies.

Then they start shooting my police officers.

Next the bishop from up north removes my beloved pastor from St. Isabel.

Now the straw that broke the camel's back, my morning respite, Bennett's donut shop has closed due to the tourism turn down from dirty water.

Time to move to Naples.
