Lee Clerk’s Office to extend passport acceptance hours

For the public's convenience, the Lee Clerk's Office is expanding it passport acceptance hours the weeks of Feb. 12 and March 12. No appointment will be necessary.

Extended hours for the week of Feb. 12 17 and week of March 12-17 will be:

* Monday Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

* Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Clerk of Court's Recording Office accepts and verifies passport applications on behalf of the U.S. Department of State. It is the responsibility of the office to review the passport application, collect the correct fees, and make sure that all required documentation is included prior to it being sent. The office can even take your passport photo for an additional fee.

PASSPORT RENEWALS: You may not be required to come to our office for a Passport Renewal. To see if you qualify for a RENEWAL BY MAIL check passport renewal information on www.leeclerk.org

The Recording Office is located in downtown Fort Myers, Administration Building, 2115 Second St., 2nd Floor.
